Soooo...

Ok...I am thinking of going blonde again. This is a picture from last summer when I was a warm, honey blonde. My hair is dark now. Sorry, but no picture. Josh seems to only want to take pictures of me when I have no makeup on or I am sick!!!! Or he usually finds me in the most unflattering pose and takes pictures of me then. Soooo you will have to imagine me with darker hair.
Ok so my question is...Do I stay with darker hair and maybe add in some random streaks of some color OR do I take the plunge and go blonde again??? Leave me a comment or email me with your answer!!!

Today was a busy day! Aric and I went shopping with my mom today in Mobile. It was fun spending time with her but I was not impressed with the shopping. I bought a cute top and a pretty yellow necklace but that's about it. Aric was being a pain. I do not know why he behaves like that when he is around Nana. Actually I do...He thinks I can not punish him when Nana is around. Well think again buddy. He is not a happy camper right now! So nananananananana booboo buddy! I AM STILL THE MOM!!!! SO THERE....
Sorry I am back to reality now!
Ok leave me comments people!!! I have a hair appointment tomorrow afternoon and I need to know what to tell her!!!!

What a wonderful weekend...

This weekend has been wonderful! Josh was off Friday, Saturday, AND Sunday! He has been on midnight shift for so long that I had forgotten what it was like to have an entire weekend with him. So here is what we did...
Friday night we went to Target and bought new outside furniture! That was a surprise since we went in there to get the roof top cargo bag for my truck (which we did not get). I am LOVING my new furniture! It is black iron and it is already distressed so I don't have to do it! We bought four chairs and a long coffee table. Gorgeous! I am not to fond of the cushions that came with them but I can always buy new. I am waiting on my trip to IKEA for that! Anyway then we went to eat at Applebees. Aric wanted to eat at Lamberts soooo bad but there was at least 50 people ahead of us waiting to get in. So we settled for Applebees. I was not that impressed with my dinner but it was ok. Then we came home and put together our furniture!
Saturday was the BEST day! Aric went to James' house to spend the day! Josh and I took total advantage of that and we took the motorcycle to Pensacola. We shopped ALL day! Bought some awesome new clothes and had an awesome ride! Pictures at the end of the post, I promise! It was just so great to spend time with my husband, ALONE! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE when Aric is with us but sometimes we need some time to ourselves. We stopped on the way home and rented some movies. We made it home just in time! About 30 min. later it started STORMING!!! It was the most gorgeous lightning storm I have seen in sooooo long. We went outside and watched the lightning and the rain for awhile. Then we snuggled on the couch and watched some movies.
Sunday was also a good day! We had some general errands to run...WalMart of course! I bought some more needed items for our vacation. We had lunch at Taco Bell per Aric's request. LOL....We went to Best Buy to get something for Josh's laptop and a wall mount for the Flat Screen in our bedroom. Then we went into Ross. We were checking out in there when the torrential rains started! It has not rained that hard in FOREVER. We took off running through the parking lot, getting soaked! My shoe came off when I was running! Dang the ROXY flip flops! I took them off and kept on running. Josh and Aric were dying laughing at me! I had on WHITE capris! Needless to say we had to come home because you could see straight through my pants!
What an exhausting, awesome weekend! I am about to pile up and watch Army Wives. Then it's early to bed. I have to get up early tomorrow. My mom and I are going shopping in Mobile! WOOHOO!!! More new clothes!
P.S. More cloud pics also!!!! Oh and the picture of the bricks...That is an actual street that we ended up on somewhere in Floridia! It was soooo bumpy riding it on the motorcycle! There was this awesome little park back there also that was on the water. Soooo pretty...
More pictures to come!

A bit of Randomness...

Last night when sleep refused to come, I was thinking about the different things that are going on in our lives right now. And I was wondering what to blog about today. Some things that are going on with us I can't blog about for various reasons. And then there are some things that I can blog about but is really of no interst to others. But then I thought...Hello??? It is MY blog! I can do what I want. Geez...I fell asleep soon after that thought. So todays blog is about randomness. I was tagged by someone to post 8 random things about myself. So here it goes...

1. I worry to much about what other people think. I have always been like this and probably always will be. It really pisses Josh off because he has never cared what other people think about him.

2. I NEVER leave the house without makeup on. NEVER! Even if we are going to the beach. My grandmother, Nan, taught me that. You just never know who you might run into!

3. I only like Coke if it is in a can or from Sonic. Better yet, buy a BIG cup of ice from Sonic and pour a can of coke in there. YUM!

4. I have no willpower when it comes to dieting. I try..I really do. It lasts about a week and then I am over it. But I am really working hard this summer. Say a prayer for me!

5. My favorite hamburger is one from McDonalds. Cheap but yummy!

6. I am happiest when I am in my studio. Even of I am not creating..I still like to be in here. It makes me happy.

7. I can read an entire book in one night. Last night I read a 421 page book in 3 hours. That is why I buy books at Thrift Stores now. Do you know how expensive that was getting??? Josh does..Ask him.

8. I do not do well with confrontations. I do not know what to say until it is over and then of course I have about a thousand things to say!

Well there ya go. 8 random things about me that probably noone cares about.
Here are some random pictures from yesterday.

I have no makeup on! HAHA! BUT I was home and I had been cleaning. Notice the ladder? I have to use that to clean the ceiling fan because the ceiling is so high in the living room. Josh also used it to hang some more vintage motorcycle signs. And of course there is another cloud picture. Love to all!

Shopping and list making...

I LOVE to go shopping! It does not matter what I am shopping for, I LOVE it! It even makes me happy to go grocery shopping. I could go shopping every single day if my husband would allow it. Which of course, he will not. I do not think that my wallet could handle it either. I also love making lists. There is nothing better than sitting down with my pink day planner and making list after list. Things I need to do, things I need to buy, things that make me happy, etc... So in preparation for our upcoming vacation, I have been making lists. And today I began shopping with those lists! I bought 2 of the cutest tops at Target this afternoon. And the cutest pair of shoes.

I still have so much left to buy. I am in need of shorts. And for the record, I HATE shorts! I always wear skirts, skorts, summer dresses and capris in the summer time. The only shorts I own are the ones I wear to the gym. But we shall see. I am going to the mall tomorrow to check out American Eagle. They have some cute shorts online. If all else fails, I will just wear my dresses and not ride anything that will flip me upside down! I am leaving you now with a picture of the cutest dog in the world...Brodie! This was taken before his first puppy cut! I never thought that I would love a dog this much!

One of those days...

Have you ever had one of those days that just never seems to go right? Everything you do is wrong and everyone has to point that out to you? Well I have felt like that for about 3 days now. I just can't shake this mood! Maybe I need some retail therapy or something! We have alot going on right now with our families so maybe that is what is getting me so down. I just know that I have to get out of this funk before I go INSANE! I have been planning our vacation for next month so that is helping some. We are going to Atlanta for a much needed/deserved vacation. I am so looking forward to shopping at IKEA! I know that will make me feel better.
Ok, enough of the poor poor me routine! Not much has been going on around here activity wise this week. We go swimming everyday and go for walks with Brodie, but that is about it. We are enjoying our rest. The new school year is fast approching! I will leave you with a few of my favorite shots from this week. Oh and I have this new obsession with taking pictures of the sky/clouds.

I know it has been a few days....

Sorry for the delay in posting. The past few days have been crazy. We had a birthday pary on Saturday at the fountain for Aric's best friend, James. The kids had soo much fun! It was stormy at first so they had the fountain turned off but the kids had fun running around anyway! They finally turned it on and the kids wore themselves out!

We went to Pensacola yesterday. Josh wanted to buy lottery tickets and he always buys 3 scratch offs so we each can scratch one off. Well... Josh's ticket ended up winning $50! YAY!! We ate at Whataburger, one of Josh's favorite places to eat, fast food wise. We do not have one where we live so it is a treat to get to eat there. Aric loved it! He even ate all of his French Fries which is rare! We shopped around a little bit and then headed home because the weather was getting bad.

I have lots of other images and infomation to share but I will save those for later posts. Have a great Wednesday everyone! And if you are reading this blog, PLEASE post a comment so I will know that someone is out there!

Summer....

Summertime is the best! Actually Fall and Winter are my favorite seasons but I have to work then so Summer rates at the top right now. The pictures above are what we do all summer. Go to the pool, eat yummy fresh fruit, and....nothing. We have no set schedule. Ahhhh..Sweet Bliss.

Yesterday, Aric and I went shopping. We have an every other Friday morning date to have breakfast at Cracker Barrel. It is nice to spend that time with him. He always orders the same thing, even though he has to pour over the menu, 2 pancakes with a side of bacon and white milk. He always opens his milk and takes 2 sips and then gives it to me to place on my side of the table so he does not guzzle it all down before his breaksfast arrives. I vary with what I order. We eat and then we shop in the store part for a few minutes. I always buy some Yankee Candle votives or tarts. Every other week this happens. No changes. This makes me happy. I know that every other week I am going to have this time with my child. Will he want to do that with me when he gets older? Probably not, but I can enjoy it while it lasts.

Painting my day away...

Today has been such a great day. Josh is the one who hangs pictures and stuff around the house for me. I tell him where to put it and he puts it there. I don't know why we have always done it that way...but it works for us. But since he is on midnight shift ALL the time, he has a hard time finding the time to do anything like that. SO....I took it upon myself today to hang some stuff up around the house that I have bought in the last few months. And a VERY special photograph of my grandfather, Baw, when he was in the war back in the day. And I am proud to say that the walls were not harmed nor were my fingers! I also took it upon myself to do this project....

I decided awhile back that I wanted all of my hanging picture frames in the hallway to be black. Thankfully they were just a natural color so it was really easy to paint them black. I have painted a total of 14 frames so far and still have a few left! My hands are covered in paint as are parts of my leg. But the sight makes me happy! It looks sooo good so far. Josh is going to be shocked at all of the things that I accomplished today. Especially when it takes work away from him! Ok...off to finish painting. I hope you all have a wonderful day.

I *heart* Pirates!!

I found this picture when I was updating my myspace page. It makes me happy!

Summer Vacation

I am so glad that it is summer vacation. Being a teacher, I get to enjoy all the perks that the kids do! WOOHOO! It is 10:23 and I woke up about 15 min. ago. Granted I stayed up until about 2:00 a.m. If I want to stay in my pajamas all day I can. Or if we want to get up and take Aric bowling for the first time, we can. Please excuse the poor quality of the photo. The lighting in the bowling alley was horrible.

We had alot of fun. Josh, of course, is the pro. Aric had never been bowling and I have only been once. So needless to say, Josh beat us pretty good! Aric came in second (because he had the bumpers up) and I came in last. They are still making fun of me. But bring on the Bowling Wii game and I can kick some tail, thank you very much!

I will be working on some art prjects today. If you have any amazing websites with lots of inspiration, link them here. I love looking at what inspires others. I will leave you today with a shot from my mom's flower bed. I think it is just gorgeous! It inspires me!

What was I thinking?

I do not know what possessed me to create a blog account! As if I don't spend enough time on the computer. I spend countless hours reading other peoples blogs, people that I do not even know but I am fascinated with their lives. I especially like looking at what they have created. Blogs are a great place to find inspiration. I do not even know who will read my blog but at least I will have a daily account of my life.

Yesterday we spent the day on the lake and then went to the creek to cool off. It was a wonderful day. Aric caught more fish than any of us. I loved seeing the amazement on his face. I enjoyed spending the day with my dad. I have been worried about his health lately. It means so much to me that I got to spend time with him doing what he loves.
