Summer is almost over...

Today was my last Friday of summer vacation. This time next week I will be sitting in inservice all day! And then school starts on the 11th. In a way I am ready but then again I am enjoying being home. But the way I look at it is that the sooner we start school then the sooner Fall and Winter get here! My favorite times of the year! Plus being back in school means that I am busier than ever. So that gives me less time to worry so much. Which is a good thing! :0)
So not much has been going on around here. Just working in my studio ALOT. Maybe one day I will post some of my creations on here. I am working on some things about my dad. I will show those when I am done.
Well I got my hair done yesterday. It is TOTALLY different! I will post pictures later. I like it. The color is something that I have never had before. My mother is going to flip when she sees it!
Let's see..What else??
My dad's surgery is still scheduled for Sept. 3. So please keep him in your prayers.
Josh and I are buying a new TV this weekend. Any suggestions?
Josh is already working on his HUGE Halloween village. He has been busy building away. I will post pictures when he is finished. It looks awesome so far. And yes...I am aware that it is only August. BUT it keeps him occupied AND since it is so detailed, it takes a while to complete. He will begin work on the Christmas village in September! LOL! It is even bigger than the Halloween one!
I guess that is everything that is going on around here for now. Boring as can be! Which is fine with me. Leaving you with some pictures. Some are recent and some are older. Love to all!

Stressed...

That is how I feel right now. Stressed and worried and aggravated! We found out while we were in Atlanta that my dad has prostate cancer. And if you know me, you know that I am a daddy's girl through and through. So I am very worried about him! But they caught it very soon and the doctor is very positive! So that is a good thing. He has opted to have surgery which will be in September. On the day that Josh and I are supposed to be in Birmingham for 3 days! So now Josh will be going without me. He has to go for a class but I was going along for the ride. We were going to drive to Atlanta the last day and hit IKEA for some furniture that we wanted. But now I will send Josh with a detailed list! There is no way that I will go and not be here for Daddy's surgery! I am aggravated because I have sooo much to do and I am TIRED! Aric and I had breakfast this morning and then met up with my parents to do some shopping. My dad has to keep busy right now to keep his mind off of everything. And being around Aric will keep anyone busy! So please keep my dad in your prayers! It would mean alot to us!
Have I mentioned that I have a new Ebay obsession?? Well I do! Probably not a good thing! LOL!
Well I am off to put away groceries and things that I bought. Especially the things I do not want Josh to know about! LOL!

Home at last...

WARNING!!! PICTURE OVERLOAD!!!
What a vacation! We had so much fun. But I am glad to be home! We had hotel issues but in the end it all worked out and we stayed in a fabulous hotel! We went to Six Flags...I was not that impressed! We SHOPPED and SHOPPED!! Ohhh I was in heaven! IKEA is the most awesome place! And Bloomingdales...and Macy's...and Urban Outfitters...and...Oh well I could go on and on!! But it was a great time! Aric's favorite was the Lego Store! He spent all of his money there! It was nice to get away for awhile. But while we were gone we got some sad news. But more about that later. I will leave you with some pictures. I will write more about our vacation in awhile.

My new love...

OMG! This stuff is amazing. My fave is the vanilla! AND sooo much cheaper than going to Starbucks every morning. It is only $1.99 per can at the store by my house. I have not checked other places. It might be cheaper to buy it by the case. I am sooooo taking this stuff on our vacation instead of budgeting $100 for my Starbucks fix. :0)

Anyway, not much going on around here lately. Josh has been working hard without a day off in awhile. Aric went to stay with my parents for a few days, had a blast, and came home with more stuff than he left with. And me?? Well, I have been cleaning out closets!! So many clothing items are gone now to make room for new stuff. School starts soon and that means new clothes for me and Aric. And I have been reconnecting with a dear friend! That time means alot to me.

Well...I will leave you with some pictures. Oh and BTW...I am updating my address book both digital and paper. If you would, please send me an email with your updated address, phone numbers, and email! You can send it to scrapphappy23@yahoo.com.
Thanks so much! I am off to wash sheets and blankets now!

The plates and cups in the pic?? Well those were flea market finds. LOVE the color! And they are dated on the back 1959. Soooo happy! And the last picture of Josh and Aric?? Well, lets just say that Josh could never deny Aric as his son! I mean look at them...So much alike! Have a great day!

Catching Up...

We have been busy the past few days getting ready for our trip and spending time together. I have also spent hours creating. I am so blessed to have a job where I can have the entire summer off so I can do what I want with my family.
Anyway, one of the things we had to do is get another key made for my 4Runner. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH A FREAKING KEY COST FOR THAT THING??? $284.05 Good Grief I almost had a heart attack!!! We only had one digital key, one key fob, and one key that would only unlock the doors. SO we needed another key that would actually crank the truck just in case something happened to the other key. I feel ill just thinking about what I could have bought with that money! Oh well...what's done is done and it was needed.
My daddy is going through some health issues right now. He has to have some biopsies done tomorrow. Please say a little prayer for him. It kills me to think of anything happening to my parents! My daddy is so strong and that makes it even harder to see him worried. Just keep him in your prayers!

Crazy!!!

That is how I would describe the past week!! So much has been going on! I did get to spend some much needed time with my favorite sister-in-law yesterday as well as my BFF Devan. My sis and I took the kids to Downtown Fairhope to eat lunch and do some shopping. We ate lunch at Panini Petes, which was featured on The Food Network. It was yummy! Poor Aric could not eat much of his lunch because he had his braces upgraded on Tuesday and he was pretty sore. We walked around for awhile and I stopped in at Adrenaline and bought my shoes for our vacation. For those that know me know that as soon as it is warm enough I wear ONLY sandals and flip flops. So I bought some more Sanuk Yoga Mat Flip Flops. LOVE them!! They are sooo comfy.

They are plain black but they are soo comfortable when you are going to be doing alot of walking. I need them in brown now! I am now searching for a messenger bag. I collect patches thanks to my brother and I want a bag to sew them on. I found one online at Pottery Barn. What do you think???
I like the black and white polka dot. I would not get my initials monogrammed on it though. Do you think my patches would look good on this one? And a perk...FREE SHIPPING! I also found a Roxy bag at PacSun about a month ago but now I can't find it! They do not have it in the store and I can not find it online.
Anyway, Happy Fourth of July to everyone! We will be going to watch the fireworks tonight and have a small get together afterwards. Should be fun!
I am leaving you with some pictures that make me happy. Love to all!
